Juhnke Named 'Friend of Retail' by State Retailers Association
State Rep. Al Juhnke has been named a "Friend of Retail" in the Legislature by the Minnesota Retailers Association, a trade group that represents thousands of retail businesses large and small across the state.
Association president Bruce W. Anderson cited Juhnke, of Willmar, for "reflecting free market ideals in voting and committee work."
"I am honored to receive this citation," Juhnke said. "Retailing employs tens of thousands of people in our state, and is the core of our small-business community as well. Particularly in rural communities, a healthy retail sector is a strong sign of a healthy economy."
Juhnke is the Lead Democrat on the House of Representatives Agriculture Finance & Rural Development Committee, which deals with a host of legislation related to rural economic growth.
